My story begins with the settling of my parents in İstanbul coming from Bulgaria with the start of the Balkan War… I was born in 1971 as the first child of a Naval Officer father and a working mother. I graduated from İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical School in 1994 and completed my specialization training in neurology in 2000. I have been working as a neurologist for the Acıbadem Health Group for about 20 years.
My passion for innovation, education and learning led me to become an academician with the establishment of the Acıbadem Medical School in 2008. Between 2007-2010, I completed my master’s degree in the field of electroneurophysiology, at İstanbul University. In 2013, I passed the examination of European Board of Neurology in Barcelona. The same year I became an Associate Professor, and in 2018, I became a Professor. I have more than forty scientific research articles published in international scientific journals.
I am of the opinion that reading, writing, learning, travelling and every step taken towards knowing oneself, helps to make a person more at peace with oneself and leads one to become better person. I believe in working hard, taking resposibility and doing the job right.
Headaches, dizziness and sleeping problems are my favourite subjects within the field of neurology. I mostly see patients with these problems.
I have now completed 25 years in my profession. I love being a physician, the human brain, emphaty and neurology. Being able to share what I know with you will make me happy…
