He graduated from Cerrahpaşa University School of Medicine in 1995. He completed his residency in the same school in psychiatry.
After serving in many hospitals and clinics, he founded the Health & Training Academy (HTA) Neuropsychiatry Center in 2008.
He was a member of the team to first apply neuropsychiatric techniques such as Psychiatric Electrophysiology, Brain Mapping, Thought Technology, Neuropsychological Evaluations, Brain Enhancement Therapy, Cognitive Rehabilitation, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Therapy in Turkey.
His academic and clinical studies have been focused on Mental Trauma, EMDR Therapy, Psychosomatic Diseases, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Addiction, Schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Couple Therapies, Sports Psychology, Aviation Psychology and Industrial Psychology.
He has initiated the first Aviation Psychology studies in Turkey. He was the first to start scientific “Music Therapy” practices and to establish a “Sports Psychology” Laboratory in the country.
He has published 3 books and many scientific articles. He has internationally presented his electrophysiological research which revealed the relationship between music and brain.
Currently, he is working as a psychiatrist in HTA Group. He is the advisor to the Rector of İstanbul Technical University, Director of Medical, Health Sciences and Psychology in Haliç University, Director of Conservatory.
Adnan Çoban is married and has two children.
